Our History

20 Years of Innovation, Technical Rigor, and Certified Quality

The Origin and Predictive QA (TESTMET®)

FINDING was officially founded on February 6, 2006, in Cali, Colombia, as a result of the Jóvenes con Empresa (Youth with Business) program, an initiative jointly developed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Corona Foundation, Comfandi and San Buenaventura University. From the outset, we identified a critical market need to evaluate the quality of software products from the initial development phases. To anticipate errors and ensure substantially lower remediation costs in technology projects, we created our proprietary methodology, TESTMET®, redefining quality control into a predictive, rather than reactive, QA model. That same year, we solidified the trust of our first clients: a system for telecommunications and public utilities companies at the national and international levels, and a product for the international insurance sector in the United States.

Requirements Engineering and Transparent Management (REQMET® & TOOLCASE®)

Through research and accumulated experience, we identified that between 50% and 60% of software errors originated in the phase of identifying customer needs and specifying their software requirements. To mitigate technical ambiguities and clearly document business needs, we developed our REQMET® methodology. Simultaneously, we released our TOOLCASE® tool, a project management system that transformed technical communication by creating a unified, real-time channel between all key project stakeholders (Client, IT, and FINDING)) to visualize project progress with complete transparency.

Institutional Maturity and ISO 9001 Certification

To strengthen the trust of our business partners, we decided to formally validate the stability of our processes. In 2013, we earned our first international ISO 9001 certification, a quality management standard we have maintained continuously as a pillar of ongoing improvement and institutional growth.

High-Availability Performance Under Pressure (Performance Testing Services)

We formally incorporated the advanced Performance Testing service into our portfolio. This specialized solution allowed us to evaluate the speed, stability, and scalability of software under extreme or high-pressure conditions, becoming the ideal complement to protect our clients’ systems during critical peak demand and high-volume transactional seasons.

Advancement to CMMI-SERV Maturity Level 3

We set out to further raise our organization’s technical maturity and operational rigor. In 2017, we earned the international CMMI-SERV Maturity Level 3 appraisal for our services, a globally recognized credential we renewed for the 2017–2020 and 2023–2026 periods.

Transition to Automated Testing (ATC®)

We began our strategic transition from manual to automated testing with the launch of our exclusive ATC® (Automated Testing Center) tool. This milestone was solidified in 2023 with the integration of Artificial Intelligence, allowing us to offer an intelligent quality assurance portfolio that encompasses highly complex automated testing, including APIs, Apps, Performance, complex migrations, and end-to-end (E2E) workflows.
